Process Details

                     Load32.exe is dropped by Dumaru worm. It is a mass mailing worm, uses  e-mail addresses collected from htm, wab, html, dbx, tbb, abd files to distribute infected messages. Dumaru worm arrives as an e-mail attachment. The infected attachment name will be "patch.exe". 

                     When the worm file patch.exe executed, it copies itself to Windows folder as "dllreg.exe" and Windows system folder as load32.exe, vxdmgr32.exe. It also drops an IRC Trojan windrv.exe in the Windows folder.

                     Dumaru modifies registry run section to load automatically on the next startup. The registry modification is given below.

                     Dumaru worm uses its own SMTP engine to send infected messages. The worm infects exe files in the root directory of logical drives. This worm is detected on 16th August 2003.
